Where it is
Orgiano–Polveriera is a hill site in Italy's Veneto region that flies best with a breeze out of the south or east. There's an important restriction to know before flying: the fenced-off area with white plastic poles just south of takeoff is strictly off-limits for both launching and landing, so it needs to be clearly identified and avoided. The site is reachable from either the Milan–Venice or Rovigo–Piovene Rocchette motorways, with two possible approaches to takeoff on foot — one from Orgiano itself via Via Castello and a hill road, the other from the village of Villa del Ferro via Via Cavallo — both routes finishing with roughly 800 metres on foot, passing close to a military zone along the way, so pilots should stay aware of their surroundings on that final stretch. Conditions tend to bring a strong breeze through spring and summer, which is worth factoring into the day's plan. Landing is conveniently placed right in front of takeoff, east of the local cemetery and the SP12 road, and it's accessible by car, which makes retrieval straightforward.
Launch & conditions
Flies best with a south or east breeze. A fenced area with white plastic poles just south of takeoff is strictly off-limits for launching or landing.
Getting there & local rules
From the Milan–Venice motorway, exit at Montecchio and take the SP12 south toward Val Liona; or from the Rovigo–Piovene Rocchette motorway, exit at Agugliaro toward Sossano and Orgiano. Two foot approaches to takeoff exist, both finishing with about 800 metres on foot near a military zone — one from Orgiano via Via Castello, the other from Villa del Ferro via Via Cavallo.
Local rules & hazards
Expect a strong breeze through spring and summer. The area fenced with white plastic poles south of takeoff is off-limits for both launching and landing — treat it as a hard boundary.
