Where it is
Spitzbühel sits above Siusi/Seis, at the foot of the Alpe di Siusi below the Schlern, a grass-field launch reached either by road or by a scenic gondola ride. The access road up has a real quirk: it's only open for driving up before 9:00 or after 17:00, though there's no such restriction coming back down, and a bus also runs the route, though only every two hours. Alternatively, a cable car from Siusi covers the same ground for around 8 euros, though it leaves a walk down to the actual Spitzbühel launch station. Wind demands attention here — it can swing to blow from behind at take-off, so pilots need to confirm a clean headwind before committing. Landing is on a large but uneven field, with a farm nearby that has a toilet, or alternatively a big meadow at San Valentino, just above Siusi.

Local rules & hazards
Wind can swing to blow from behind at launch, so confirm you have a clean headwind before committing to take off — that's the main hazard here.
