Kirkridge, near the Delaware Water Gap in Pennsylvania, is a narrow, almost slot-shaped launch at 458 m, rated H4/P4 (Advanced) because the newer allowable landing zones are genuinely small. The whole valley's LZs are sensitive, and some have already been lost to careless use, so contacting the local chapter for current protocols before flying isn't optional. Flying operates under a National Park Service special use permit with firm numeric limits: launchable wind runs 125°–185° (ESE–SSW), maxing at 20 mph for hang gliders and 15 mph for paragliders because of tree rotors, with gust factors capped at 10 mph (HG) and 5 mph (PG) — best conditions sit around 150° at 8–12 mph. The paragliding LZ must be entered at 150 ft AGL to clear power lines safely. No more than 25 pilots are allowed on site at once, each capped at two flights a day, and training or practice flights aren't permitted. Landing outside the primary LZ or top-landing can mean suspension from the site, reinstated only if the Safety Committee accepts the pilot's justification — and everyone needs a site monitor present, plus a walk-through safety signoff, before flying here.
