Bocca de Rogna – San Bernardino

Bocca de Rogna, above San Bernardino in Switzerland, is a hike-and-fly launch at about 2,382 m that works well on wind from east through south-east to south, and it's a genuinely good spot for a morning hike-and-fly session. The recommended route up follows a panoramic line through Pass di Passit and Pass de la Cruseta (2,455 m) before heading south to launch; an alternative goes via Alp d'Ocola and Alp d'Arbeola. In winter, the launch can also be reached on skis in the right conditions — always check the avalanche bulletin first if you're planning that approach.
