Where it is
Weesen – Amden – Durschlegi launches at about 1,110 m facing southeast, above Lake Walen, with landing down at Weesen-Gäsi. Getting to launch is by car or on foot from Amden, but parking has real restrictions: there's no parking in the turning pad, no parking at launch at all on weekends, and the access road up is closed to cars from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays and public holidays — worth timing the drive around rather than discovering it at the barrier. At landing, a windsock helps read the wind, and the local advice is specific: land where the grass is shortest, never on the neighbouring model-aircraft airfield, and fold your glider only on the gravel area rather than in the grass. As with Swiss sites generally, it's worth checking current airspace and active danger-area information before flying rather than relying on what you knew last time.
Getting there & local rules

Local rules & hazards
Check current Swiss airspace and active danger-area information before flying. At landing, use the windsock, land where the grass is shortest, never on the neighbouring model-aircraft airfield, and fold your glider only on the gravel area.
