Jhojanes Aventura

Jhojanes Aventura launches at 1,774 m in Colombia, and flies across a wide range of directions, east through southeast, south, southwest and west, giving it real flexibility across the day. Takeoff is a well-kept grass field with room for eight to twelve wings to launch in the same session, so it handles a busy day reasonably comfortably, though pilots should stay alert for spectator structures just off to the right of the takeoff area. There's a registration step before you fly: pilots check in at launch and pay a small daily fee as part of using the site. Altitude here is capped at 2,100 m over launch, and flying east is explicitly off-limits, so route planning matters as much as timing. The official landing zone gives pilots a clear, designated target to aim for. Between the wide wind window and the altitude, it supports thermalling, ridge soaring, cross-country, hike-and-fly and flatland-style flying alike.
