Where it is
Hecho – Borda Serrano y Planas is actually three separate takeoffs in one valley in Aragón, Spain, all reachable by car: Planatelun with about 200 m of height difference to the valley floor, Borda with around 400 m, and Planas with roughly 600 m — giving pilots a genuine choice of launch height depending on conditions and how big a flight they're after. Wind from north through south, southwest, west and northwest all work somewhere across the three launches, and the site flies well for thermic, soaring and cross-country most of the year. The one wind to avoid is a strong north or northwest — outside of that, breeze from the south, southwest or west keeps the site workable almost year-round. The two lower takeoffs, Borda and Planatelun, tend to come into their own after midday rather than first thing in the morning, so timing the launch choice to the time of day is part of reading this site well.

Local rules & hazards
