Macenas

Macenas is a coastal soaring site in Almería, southern Spain, launching from just 67 m in east wind, right at the top of a hill near a lookout point above Macenas beach. It's a small takeoff, and getting to it means either walking up or driving a 4x4 track — there's no easy drive-to-the-ramp option here. To find it, head along the N340 past Mojácar toward Carboneras; the hill sits right beside the castle at Macenas beach, and the usual approach is to park in the beach bar's parking lot and walk up from there. Strong, reliable east wind is what makes this spot work, and it's popular for soaring right along the coastal ridge as well as for winch launching when conditions suit. Landing is flexible: pilots come down either on the beach itself or in the paramotor landing area nearby, both easy to reach and easy to spot from the ridge on the way in.
