Mare de Deu del Mont

Mare de Déu del Mont launches from 1,102 m at a mountain sanctuary in Catalonia, Spain, with a ramp purpose-built for both paragliding and hang gliding. Wind from the south is what works the site, supporting thermic and soaring flights from a genuinely scenic high point. The sanctuary itself can be reached on foot or by car via more than one route — one approach comes through Can Vilar, near where the Besalú–Figueres road meets the road connecting Banyoles and Cabanelles, about 19 km from that junction to the top. An alternative route runs through the village of Segueró, reached either from Beuda or from Maià de Montcal, giving pilots a choice depending on which direction they're coming from. Because the ramp is shared with hang gliders, it's worth a quick check of who else is flying before setting up, but otherwise this is a straightforward, well-prepared launch for a south-wind day.
