Marros

Marros is a South Wales coastal ridge site above the Pembrokeshire/Carmarthenshire border, between Pendine and Amroth. It flies best in SSW to SSWE. Access runs through a farm belonging to the current landowner at Marros Lodge — note that the previous owner at Talyvan Farm no longer owns the takeoff field, so make sure permission comes from the correct party (as of 2006 this was Mr. Turner at Marros Lodge). Site fees are payable to the landowner.

Getting there & local rules

From Pendine, follow the B4314 towards Amroth. At St. Lawrence's Church, Marros, follow the farm track to the silver half-mesh gate on the right. Go through it, up to the Marros Lodge fields.

Local rules & hazards

Landowner and site fees: as of 2006, the takeoff field belonged to Mr. Nick Turner at Marros Lodge — pay fees to the current owner. Do not assume the previous owner at Talyvan Farm still holds the land — check before flying.
