Vardavard (Hemmat), also known as Asgari, is one of the most popular flying sites in Iran — an urban-access launch above Tehran with panoramic city views. The main takeoff is a concrete launch, safe and reliable especially in light wind. Prevailing winds are S, SE and SW. Two secondary takeoffs handle W and N conditions; the N takeoff is for experienced pilots with real local knowledge only. Access from the landing is by off-road vehicle (unpaved road), and shuttles run daily to transfer pilots up.

Getting there & local rules
Access from the landing area is by off-road vehicle — shuttles are available daily to transfer pilots up. The access road is unpaved. Landing: approximately 60,000 m² flat open field, spacious and safe even in moderate wind, big enough for multiple simultaneous landings.
