Where it is

ThermalsCross-country

Bassano – East (Antenne) is an east-facing launch at 756 m on Monte Grappa, well suited to morning flights when the wind comes from the east or south, and best flown March through October. The steep, grassy take-off is popular enough to get crowded on good days, so expect company at the top. A FlyCard purchase is required to fly here, and if you land at one of the two designated landing fields you may be asked to show it, so it's worth having sorted before you launch. Paragliders share the same landing zone as the nearby Bassano – South site, while hang gliders use a separate zone of their own. It's a solid cross-country and thermal launch for pilots planning an early start rather than a midday session.
