Molveno

Molveno launches from a wide, easy platform in the Dolomiti di Brenta, a few minutes' walk downhill from the gondola station, with enough room for several wings to prepare at once — reached from the town of Molveno by taking the gondola up. Top-landing back at launch is possible, though it's not an easy one to pull off. The main landing is down by the lake, on a slight downslope; the catch is timing, since the afternoon often brings strong wind there, and landing further back from the lake shore can turn genuinely turbulent. It's a well-equipped thermal, soaring and cross-country site for pilots who plan their landing around the clock rather than flying into the lake zone late in the day.
