Where it is
Mount Bargiglio – Diecimo is a south-to-west-facing thermal and cross-country launch at 728 m in the hills above Lucca in Tuscany, reached by about a 10-minute walk from the car park. Reverse take-off is the preferred technique here, and most paragliders launch that way rather than forward. Landing is a wide, straightforward field near the SS12 road (the Abetone–Brennero route), rated suitable for beginners, with wind usually coming from the south. The short walk-in and forgiving landing field make this a comfortable, hike-friendly option for pilots building confidence before tackling bigger cross-country days from nearby sites.
