Pedana Delta 3 launches at 810 m and takes its name from the springboard-style ramp built for hang gliders, which remains the primary take-off here — paraglider pilots can fly the site too, but only with ground assistance (a helper managing the wing during launch) rather than a free run-off. The site is south-facing and needs wind from that direction to work, so it is a single-direction launch rather than one that tolerates a swinging wind. Thermal and soaring conditions both feature, and the hill also suits a hike-oriented approach for pilots happy to walk up rather than drive. Once airborne, landing is straightforward: the designated area is the plain directly in front of the take-off, giving a short, easy-to-judge approach with the launch itself as a visual reference. Because this is fundamentally a hang-glider ramp shared with paragliders, the assisted-launch requirement is the one thing to plan for before your first visit — treat it as a two-person launch rather than something to attempt solo.

Launch & conditions

South-facing launch built as a hang-glider springboard ramp; paragliders can only launch here with ground assistance, not a free run-off.

Getting there & local rules

Landing is on the plain directly in front of the take-off.

Check conditions before you fly

A forecast for the valley is not a forecast for the launch. Before heading to Pedana Delta 3, read the wind and thermals for the site itself, confirm the day's rules with the local club, and remember the standing rule — when in doubt, don't launch. In the free OutDare app you can open Pedana Delta 3 with a 7-day forecast built from high-resolution weather models, see who else has been flying, and get there with offline maps.
