The Tohani paragliding site is one of the closer flying areas to Bucharest, in Prahova county about 90 km north of the capital along the DN1/E60. It's a Romanian flatland-and-hill site used for training and local flying — a workable option when a trip to the Bucegi mountains is too far. The available source information is thin and mostly access directions from central Bucharest via DN1/E60 through Ploiești.
Getting there & local rules
From Bucharest, take Calea Victoriei south, then left on Ion Câmpineanu, left at Leviatan onto Bulevardul Nicolae Bălcescu / DN1 / DN1A / DN7 / E60. Continue north on DN1/E60 (through Ploiești) about 80 km to the Tohani area, then follow local signage to the site.
