Move Flyskyhy flights to OutDare
Flyskyhy on iOS stores flight logs as .igc files. Its App Store listing also mentions KML; choose IGC for OutDare.
Export your flights
One flight
- Email the flight from Flyskyhy.
All flights with Files
- Open Files > On My iPhone > Flyskyhy.
- Tap ⋯ at the top right, then Select > Select All.
- Long-press, choose Copy, then paste into an iCloud Drive folder.
With a computer
- Drag the logs from Flyskyhy’s file list in Finder or iTunes.
Import into OutDare
- Open OutDare, then Record > My flights > ↓ Import flights.
- Tap “Choose files” and select your IGC, GPX, FIT or ZIP files, many at once. Or tap “Choose a folder (from your vario)” and select the whole flight folder.
- Review the selection, then import the selected flights.
On the review screen, new flights are ticked. Flights already in your logbook are marked and left out. Importing a track for an existing XContest stats-only entry adds that track.
Before you import
- You can skip the copy: in OutDare, “Choose files” can open On My iPhone > Flyskyhy directly so you can select all logs. You can also use “Choose a folder (from your vario)”.
- Use IGC, not KML, for this import.
- Folder import: up to 2,000 files, 50 MB per file and 500 MB total.
- OutDare does not read KML. Converting KML or GPX to IGC does not create a valid G-record, so XContest will not score those conversions. Import GPX directly into OutDare instead. XContest FAQ
- Imported tracks get 3D replay and join your logbook, records and passport.
Your imported flights stay private
Imported flights stay private until you choose to share them. A new flight is never more public than your Activity setting.
FAQ
Do I need to email every Flyskyhy flight?
No. OutDare’s “Choose files” can open On My iPhone > Flyskyhy directly and select all logs. Or copy them to an iCloud Drive folder with the Files steps above.
Will my imported flights be public?
No. Imported flights stay private until you choose to share them. A new flight is never more public than your Activity setting.
What happens to flights already in my logbook?
The review screen marks existing flights and leaves them out. A file import can add a track to an existing XContest stats-only entry.
Can I import KML?
No. OutDare reads IGC, GPX and FIT, plus ZIP archives of those files. Choose IGC when available, or import GPX directly.
