Wildkogel

Wildkogel is an Austrian paragliding launch at about 2,063 m, right next to the gondola stations, facing south. Getting up is easy: a cable car runs from Neukirchen or Bramberg straight to the top, so there's no hike involved before the flight. Timing matters more than usual here, though — the site's real quirk is a north wind locally known as the 'Bavarian wind' that tends to pick up after around midday and can shut down southward launches altogether. Launch early rather than late if you want a reliable window. Two landing options serve the site, one near Bramberg and one near Neukirchen, so pilots can choose based on where they parked or which valley they're heading back to. Between the lift access and the two landing zones, it's a convenient site logistically — just build the day around a morning launch rather than an afternoon one.
