Where it is
Prodkamm is a high paragliding launch above Flumserberg in the canton of St. Gallen, Switzerland, sitting at around 1,930 m. It's unusually flexible on wind, workable from six different directions — north, northeast, east, southeast, west or northwest — which is rare for a single alpine launch and means a much wider range of days are flyable here than at a typical single-aspect ridge. Access is by chairlift from the Flumserberg resort, so unlike many launches at this altitude, it doesn't demand a long hike — riding up gets pilots most or all of the way to takeoff. Flumserberg is an established Swiss flying and ski destination, and a launch with this much wind coverage at nearly 2,000 m is exactly the kind of site that draws repeat visits. Landing zone and specific local hazards aren't documented here, so confirm both with a local school or club before your first flight.
Getting there & local rules
Reached by chairlift from the Flumserberg resort — no long hike required to get to launch.
Check conditions before you fly
A forecast for the valley is not a forecast for the launch. Before heading to Prodkamm, read the wind and thermals for the site itself, confirm the day's rules with the local club, and remember the standing rule — when in doubt, don't launch. In the free OutDare app you can open Prodkamm with a 7-day forecast built from high-resolution weather models, see who else has been flying, and get there with offline maps.
