Liebenau

Liebenau is a German towing site at about 593 m, roughly 30 minutes' drive from Dresden, with a wide wind window that covers northeast through east, southeast, southwest, west and northwest. It's a pure winch-launch field run by a local club, and the best conditions here are westerly or easterly winds. Because it sits close to the Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge), it's also usable as a genuine cross-country starting point rather than just a short tow-and-land loop — a step up from most flatland winch sites. As with any towing field, strong wind is the main thing to watch for and avoid rather than push through. Rated for thermals as well as flatland flying, this is a practical option for pilots near Dresden who want both currency flights and a shot at real distance on the right day.
