Where it is
Cingles de Bertí launches from around 642 m in Barcelona province, and the exit itself is a genuine hazard to respect: it's small, and a venturi effect can accelerate the wind dangerously right at launch. Reaching it takes some doing — from Sant Feliu de Codines, head 14 km toward Mollà, turn right toward Centelles, and after about 2 km take the right-hand track to a farmhouse, following the path above it for a further kilometer to takeoff. Landing, by contrast, is fixed and non-negotiable: the only official landing here is the parking lot of the restaurant La Pineda, reached from Bigues i Riells by the road to Riells and a left-hand track about 2 km along. Fields around the site are off-limits for landing. Flying over the mountain that overlooks takeoff is also banned during summer. Wind works from east through southeast and south.
