Where it is
Montseny – Turó de l'Home is the highest peak of Catalonia's Pre-Serralada Litoral at 1,712 m, close to Barcelona and inside a park protected since 1928. Traditionally a hang-gliding zone, modern paragliders (glide ratio around 6:1) can now enjoy it too, though better alternatives usually exist. Spanish pilots prefer the winter season here — summer brings heavy wind and rocky thermals.
Launch & conditions
Two launches at 1,700 m and 1,400 m, orientations SW and S. Low glide ratio (5.5). Off/flight/landing: launch progressive and easy, comprehensive and grass. Thermal and dynamic flight all along the ridge, then a 7 km long glide (power line halfway). Favourable in loose S-component wind and breezes.
Getting there & local rules
Paved road with an intermediate track section, in good condition. Landing: preferred at Mosqueroles fields with some alternatives — because there's a lot of forest around, scout the 3 landing sites first before takeoff.
Local rules & hazards
Spanish pilots prefer the winter season here — summer brings heavy wind and rocky thermals. Because of the forest cover, always scout the landing options before launching. Watch for the power line about halfway along the glide to landing.

Flyable days by month
A day counts as flyable when the surface wind held in your range, from a direction the site flies, with no rain, for at least 2 hours in a row (08:00–20:00) — from hourly 10 m wind over the last 12 months. A seasonal wind guide only: it can't judge gusts, thermals or turbulence, and never replaces the live forecast, airspace checks and your own judgement.
