The road in is well signposted. Wind from the southeast and south is what the site catches, and thermals build reliably, which is exactly why the landing near the road is genuinely tricky and explicitly flagged as unsuitable for novice pilots — thermal activity right over the LZ is common, and it takes real skill to place a landing there safely. The site also sits close to restricted R111 airspace, so keep that boundary firmly in mind before and during the flight.
