Where it is
This launch above Los Realejos on Tenerife's north coast sits at 759 m facing north to northeast, with soaring and thermal conditions typical of the island's trade-wind slopes. The ramp is equipped with two windsocks and a launch carpet, giving pilots a clear read of the cycle before committing. Access is straightforward: a paved road runs via the village of Icod el Alto, and the route is signposted toward 'la Corona' the rest of the way, so no rough-road driving is needed to reach the top. The main landing zone is known locally as la Quinta; pilots should scout it before flying, since as of a recent check it had no windsock, and the access road, while drivable, can be tricky to find on a first visit. An alternative landing zone exists closer to Puerto de la Cruz for pilots who get pushed that way. The site rewards north-northeast trade-wind days and is a solid pick for soaring flights along the coastal ridge, provided pilots read the conditions carefully before launching, as the local weather can shift fast this close to the sea.

Getting there & local rules
A paved road runs via Icod el Alto, then follows signposts to 'la Corona' the rest of the way — no rough-road driving needed.
Local rules & hazards
Do not launch if you see white streaks on the sea surface or altocumulus clouds forming — both are read locally as signs of dangerously strong wind. The main landing zone, la Quinta, had no windsock as of a recent check, so scout it before flying. Landing on Socorro Beach is prohibited in June, July and August between 11:00 and 18:00.
