Where it is

ThermalsCross-country

San Potito – Sant'Angiolillo launches from a large meadow at 1,168 m, scattered with some stones underfoot, reached by a 20-minute walk from the end of the paved road — or a shorter approach by 4WD if you've got one. Flyable directions are south-west and west, and the site works well for both local thermalling and cross-country flights heading out from the ridge. Hang glider pilots typically use a separate nearby launch, Monte Ariola, at a similar altitude, so paragliders and hang gliders don't always share exactly the same takeoff here even though they're flying the same general area. Landing is a large field down below the village of San Potito, generous enough to keep the final approach straightforward after a flight off this quiet, walk-in launch.
