Where it is
Andora – Rollo is one of the highest takeoffs along this stretch of the Ligurian coast, launching from 356 m with a genuinely wide wind window — north through north-east, east and south-east to south all work here. For proper soaring conditions, though, the source is specific: you'll want at least 17–18 km/h of wind, so a light day just won't produce the ridge lift this site is known for. Getting to launch means driving the Cervo road, parking where the asphalt ends, and hiking about 15 minutes the rest of the way. Two beach-landing notes worth knowing in advance: landing on the beach is prohibited outright from 1 May to 1 October, and even outside that window, space on the beach narrows considerably at high tide — so tide and calendar both factor into whether the beach is actually a workable landing option on any given day.
