Scivu – Fluminimaggiore

Scivu is a dune-soaring site on Sardinia's south-west coast near Fluminimaggiore, launching from a sandy dune just 20–30 m above the long beach below. A reef running the length of the coastline here keeps the ridge lift working from morning to night, so it's genuinely an all-day site rather than a short window — but it demands a strong wind and solid reverse-launch technique to get off the dune cleanly, which puts it out of reach for pilots who haven't got that skill dialed in yet. Once airborne, it's pure soaring along the beach, with the whole stretch of sand serving as landing whenever you want to come down. The takeoff faces west, matching the coastal airflow.
