Where it is
Villanova Tulo – Sadali sits on the southern edge of the Gennargentu range in central Sardinia, a site pilots only discovered relatively recently despite how easy it is to reach. Launch faces south through west, looking straight out over Lago Flumendosa, which runs dry for most of the year and turns into one huge, reassuring landing field right below take-off — a rare comfort that makes this a good match for pilots who like having somewhere safe to land under them at all times. Behind the lake rises Monte Santa Vittoria at 1,200 m, and beyond that lies Barbagia, a wild, semi-desert stretch of mountains with few roads or villages — dramatic scenery for anyone flying toward it. The handful of flights logged here so far have reached real altitude, with distances of 30 to 50 km recorded heading north-northeast toward Villagrande Strisaili. Between the easy access and the huge safety-net landing field, it's an appealing site for adventurous pilots and cautious ones alike.
