Neustift – Elfer

Neustift–Elfer, in the Stubai valley, offers two launches on opposite sides of the mountain, so pilots can pick whichever side suits the day's wind. The Elfer lift takes you right to its take-off at 1,750 m for around 10 EUR one-way, or a day pass if you're planning multiple laps; on the other side, the Schlick2000 lift does the same job up at 2,100 m. Both are proper cable-car rides, not hikes, which makes this an easy site to lap repeatedly on a good thermal day. Landing is equally convenient — just a few hundred meters from the gondola station in Neustift, so getting back for another flight barely costs any time. With northeast-favoring wind and genuine cross-country range, it's a solid Stubai valley option whenever conditions line up.
