Stubaital – Kreuzjoch (Schlick2000) is a major thermal and cross-country launch above Fulpmes in Austria's Stubai valley, at just over 2,080 m with takeoff right in front of the gondola's top station. The southeast to south-facing window and serious altitude make it one of the valley's go-to XC launches, with enough vertical development to support real distance days rather than short local flights. One airspace point matters for anyone heading northeast toward Innsbruck or the Patscherkofel: that direction runs into the Innsbruck airport control zone (CTR LOWI), so pilots need to know and respect those limits before flying that way rather than discovering the boundary mid-flight. Landing is outside Fulpmes on the Neustift side of the valley. Between the easy gondola access and the genuine XC potential, this is the kind of launch that draws pilots to the Stubaital specifically, rather than being a stop on the way to somewhere else.
